- I had the same thing happen to me when my daughter was 6 weeks old. You are the first mother that I know now that has had breast surgery due to breastfeeding. Mine was a little more complicated and I had emergency surgery within hours of finding out my diagnosis.

- As I read these comments, I am concerned that again we are being so critical of one another. I cannot breastfeed and wanted to and for everyone out there who is saying that formula is inferior or that I am bad mom might needs to know how much it hurts.

- Thank you for writing this article and informing Americans that women aren't monsters because they don't breastfeed. I was unable to breastfeed because of medical reasons and felt guilty for not being able to-after being told that it is the best thing and the only way to feed my child.
